National Assembly deputies expressed their satisfaction with the NA’s and its agencies’ activities during the last working session. They said the government has issued many policies on socialist-oriented economic reform, particularly in simplifying administrative procedures and improving the business and investment environment. However, National Assembly deputies were keen to keep a close watch on the settlement of shortcomings promised to be solved by government members – especially those related to socio-economic development and social welfare. More efforts need to be made to resolve public debt, improve transparency and curb corruption.
