VTV.vn - On May 11th, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly Standing Committee commented on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 85.

A notable point in the Draft Resolution is that if an officer is rated as having "low credibility" by more than half of the total number of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies, he or she must then resign.

If he or she does not resign within 10 days after the announcement of the low credibility status, the National Assembly or the People's Council shall consider and decide on the vote of confidence at that session or the nearest one.

Commenting on this content, the National Assembly Standing Committee proposed against considering a specific time limit in the draft Resolution due to its lack of feasibility. If necessary, two options must be prepared for the National Assembly to discuss and choose from.

The National Assembly Standing Committee asked the drafting agency to study and clarify the name, scope of regulation, and subjects of votes of confidence, as well as design one more article about prohibited acts in the draft resolution in accordance with Regulation 96 of the Politburo.
