The two-day visit looks to cement and improve links between Vietnam and Cambodia. It will also discuss the implementation of commitments on exchanging high-level visits of legislators, the sharing of experience, and other co-operative contents already agreed by the two legislative bodies.
Earlier on the same day the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman had a meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen.
She confirmed the consistent policy of Vietnam is to respect and give high priority to consolidating and strengthen ties with Cambodia and the Cambodian People’s Party.
Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed his pleasure to welcome the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman and said the Cambodian government would always create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Cambodia to have a stable life, contributing to the solidarity, friendship and co-operation between the two peoples.
