Muong Lat District to recover from aftermath of floods and landslides

According to local authorities, the recent storm is the most severe in 60 years. At the moment, the only way to reach the district center is to walk 30 km or to use the waterway. However, roads to the hamlets and wards are still blocked.

During the landslides, 48 students in Tam Trung Day Boarding Secondary school were able to escape before soil buried their dormitory. On September 5th, several schools will have to hold their opening ceremonies together in Muong Lat district.
