On Wednesday, a delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development went to An Giang Province to check the disaster prevention work in the area.
According to statistics, the province still has 1,700 households located in the flood-prone areas. In addition, over 2,700 homes are being threatened by landslides and require emergency relocation. 800 hectares of rice have been lost due to flooding.
The Ministry suggested that An Giang Province urgently move people from flood-prone areas to safe areas and implement protection measures for agricultural production.
