This is part of a project to lower child and maternal mortality rates among the population in rural, mountainous and disadvantaged areas.
The workshop, by sharing experiences and outputs of the project’s results in four pilot provinces, showed that the handbook has been warmly welcomed by pregnant women and mothers by providing useful basic information on mother and child healthcare from conception until the age of 6. The workshop also discussed the integration of immunisation cards and growth monitoring charts into the Handbook, and the plan to implement the project at all localities in Vietnam from 2016.
