Many cultural performances including Huong Sac Viet Nam (Essence of Viet Nam), Su Bien Chuyen Ky Dieu" (Miraculous Transformation), Sac Mau Van Hoa Cac Dan Toc Viet Nam" (Colours of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures) and Dem Hoa Sen (Night of Lotus) are on display for audiences.
The shows are being held at the Kennedy Performing Arts Center in Washington DC from August 8 to 11 by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
"Vietnamese Cultural Days in the US is a special cultural gift that Vietnamese artists and people want to give the American people", said Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event has attracted not only Vietnamese living in the US, but Americans and other international friends.
"This is a great programme that touches our hearts," said Bich Duyen, a Vietnamese living in the US.
The event will continue in New York tomorrow with the exhibition entitled Sac Mau Viet Nam (Colours of Viet Nam) and a fashion show about the Vietnamese traditional costume ao dai.
