This batch will raise the total number of recovered patients in Vietnam to 155 out of 265 confirmed infections, accounting for 58%. Currently, three severe cases are patients numbered 19, 91, and 161.
Previously, on Monday night, patient numbered 28 was discharged from the hospital. The male patient is a 74-year-old British national who has a 10-year history of lymphoma cancer. During Covid-19 treatment, he suffered severe respiratory failure and was put on a ventilator. His health condition is now stable.
His wife was also treated at the same hospital and was given the all-clear before him. The couple boarded an early hour flight back to the UK, organised by the British Embassy in Vietnam.
