MOF to merge nearly 300 district tax departments

The goal is to reduce nearly 300 tax departments by the end of next year, contributing to effectively streamlining payroll.

This is also a comprehensive review of branch-level leaders from department heads to deputy heads, vice-team leaders and tax officers to ensure the efficient operation of the tax system. The merging of Tax Departments into regional Tax Departments is contributing to the tax industry's fulfillment of State budget revenue tasks for 2019.

It is expected that by the end of 2020, the number of tax departments will be reduced from 711 to 420.
