Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue said the seminar sought investment ways for regional transportation and logistics. At present 80 to 90% of investment has been spent on road transportation, with 1% on civil aviation, and the remainder on waterways.
The Ministry of Transport said plans to raise capital should match the national strategy on socio-economic development and the implementation of the pilot regulations for socio-economic connectivity in the Mekong River Delta in the 2016-2020 period.
After the seminar, the participating agencies will submit their mid-term investment plans to the government.
