Maritime security in East Sea discussed

Academics at the event stressed the importance of the East Sea in the region and the world economy. Therefore, several participants suggested constructing mechanisms and international agreements to ensure maritime security in the East Sea. The workshop took place in the context of ASEAN and China nearing agreement on a framework of a Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.
