VTV.vn - A number of banks have raised their deposit rates, which has raised concerns about a possible increased in interest rates across the board.

However, currency management authorities claim that the rise is incidental and has not put any pressure on lending rates.

Some commercial banks have raised interest rates to attract capital. Currently, the State Bank only regulates that the ceiling lending interest rate for loans shorter than 6 months should stand at 5.5%. So the 8% interest rate in other cases is not prohibited. Some commercial banks have stopped raising their rates.
