Malaysia becomes 2nd biggest foreign investor in Vietnam

The nation comes just behind South Korea, according to statistucs from the Ministry of Planning and Investment.


Malaysia brings a total capital of 2.53 billion USD into the country. 2.4 billion of this comes from the Duyen Hai 2 Power Plant investment project in the Southern Province of Tra Vinh.

Japan now ranks 3^rd, with 1.48 billion USD in investment, and the UK 4^th, with 1.27 billion. Total FDI into Vietnam as of 2015 now stands at 19 billion USD- a 40.8% increase from the same period last year.
