According to the Ministry of Health, though the majority of cases are young people, many cases have turned serious quickly. On June 1 alone, doctors from Chợ Rẫy hospital had to use ECMO machines for two patients.
Five other cases have been put on ventilators, four cases require blood purification, and seven cases are receiving high doses of supplemental oxygen. Many other patients are also receiving oxygen therapy. To support the province, more medical staff has been deployed from central and local hospitals.
