Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam Company (Doosan Vina) has shipped its first batch of the Shoaiba-4 Seawater Desalination Project to Saudi Arabia following a 430 million US dollar contract signed by Saline Water Conversion Corporation of Saudi Arabia and Doosan Vina last year.
The Shoaiba-4 plant will produce 400,000 cubic meters of fresh water per day, serving the needs of 5 million people in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is the first of four shipments included in 12 made-in-Việt Nam desalination pressure units, piping and fittings, and tanks to re-mineralize desalinated water.
The next three shipments are scheduled for August, September, and December.
