At the meeting, the Minister of Education and Training suggested that the Ministry of Health consider shortening quarantine time and the number of tests done for teachers and students who came in contact with Covid-19 patients.
A consistent guideline must be issued, as well as manuals for schools and parents on taking care of F0 children.
The Ministry of Health said the isolation time had been shortened to 7 days and that it will soon issue instructions on testing in schools and treatment for infected students.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam requested that school re-openings need to be done synchronously nationwide. The plans for pandemic prevention and control in schools needs to be very detailed, constantly updated and communicated throughout.
