President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolution contributors in the districts of Binh Thuy and Ninh Kieu, Can Tho City, on April 29.
At the meeting with representatives of policy beneficiary families, Man expressed his hope that local authorities in Can Tho City will continue to pay more attention to national contributors and assist them in overcoming the difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Truong Quang Nghia led a delegation of the city’s leaders to lay a wreath and offer incense to martyrs at the city’s monument.
A delegation of Quang Nam leaders also paid tribute to martyrs and Heroic Vietnamese Mothers at the martyr cemetery in Tam Phu Commune, Tam Ky City.
A delegation of Thua Thien Hue leaders led by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu offered incense at the Hue City Martyr Cemetery on April 29.
Authorities of Chau Doc City in An Giang Province presented 13 social houses, worth over VND450 million, to needy families in the locality on the occasion of the National Reunification Day.
Similar activities in commemoration of war martyrs were also held in other provinces and cities, including Tay Ninh, Quang Tri, An Giang, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong, to name a few.
