The National Press Awards on the National Assembly and the People's Council (Dien Hong Awards) will be held annually from this year to honor outstanding writers and works on the elected bodies and deputies. In its first edition, 3,328 entries were submitted by 171 news agencies in four genres: print, electronic, radio and television. The entries to the competition reflect the activities of the National Assembly, People's Council and elected deputies, as well as the voices, thoughts and aspirations of voters and people across the country, in an in-depth and truthful manner.
The works selected for the Dien Hong Prize are carefully crafted, scientific, quality and worthy in both content and form, in which there are works that are serialized, using modern forms of propaganda.
The entries vividly reflected the theme of the Dien Hong Awards; Many works have closely followed the process of improving and renewing the organisation and operation of the National Assembly and People's Councils, adhering to practice, reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and the people, proposing plans to improve the quality and operational efficiency of the elected bodies, highlighting the position and role of the National Assembly and People's Council, focusing on reflecting the activities of the National Assembly delegation, National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies, exerting a strong influence on society and the public.
The first Dien Hong Award ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV1 at 20:10 today (June 9).
