During the talks, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the good relationship between the two countries, as well as the potential for great bilateral co-operation.
On this occasion, he asked the government of Liberia to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese businesses and goods to access the Liberian market, as well as recognise Vietnam's market economy status, and support Vietnam to stand as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Council in the 2020-2021 term.
Liberian Foreign Minister Marjon Vashti Kamara underlined the country's support for Vietnam and believed her visit would promote bilateral cooperation.
On the same day, the Liberian foreign minister also met with representatives of Vietnamese private businesses and telecommunications corporation to discuss future collaboration.
