Speaking at the event, Thang rejoiced at the achievements gained by the villagers over the past years and highly appreciated the local party committees and authorities for promoting solidarity and patriotism among residents and encouraging them to join hands for national construction and defence.
He called on the villagers to work out more initiatives and further contribute to the development of Dam Ha District and Quang Ninh Province.
* On the same day, a great national solidarity festival was held in Cho Run Village, Dong Khe Commune, Dong Son District, Thanh Hoa Province, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang.
At the event, Deputy PM Quang presented 25 gifts to poor households and families of policy beneficiaries.
* Also on November 18, National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong attended a similar festival in the Ban Cuon residential area in Ngoc Phai Commune, Cho Don District, Bac Kan Province.
The NA leader delivered 78 gifts to elders and families of policy beneficiaries in the area.
He also offered incense and flowers at the historical site dedicated to young volunteers in Bach Thong District.
