Among the attendants also included Politburo member and Minister of Defence Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man, and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh.
Addressing the event, VFF President Tran Thanh Man emphasised that despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters since the beginning of this year, our entire Party, army and people have stayed united and maintained national economic growth while ensuring people’s livelihoods.
The overall achievements have been significantly contributed by residents of Hanoi and Ba Dinh District in general, he stressed.
He hailed that over the past year, Residential Area No.6 has taken the lead in implementing VFF-launched emulation movements and campaigns, promoting solidarity among the community, and maintaining social order.
He expressed his belief that locals of the residential area will continue to promote their achievements to gain more successful outcomes in socio-economic development and strengthening unity in the community.
Participants at the festival reviewed the history and tradition of the VFF since it was established 90 years ago and discussed the participation and contribution of people to the development of the capital city and the country in general.
Local exemplary families and elders who have made positive contributions to consolidating the residential community were also honoured on the occasion.
