At the event, Defence Minister Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich presented 40 gifts to policy beneficiaries and poor households from the hamlet.
Five other local families were presented with certificates of merit by the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in recognition of their excellent contributions to the patriotic emulation movement in the locality in 2020.
In recent years, hamlet 6 has established as an exemplary residential area in Liem Chung commune and Phu Ly city in general thanks to its achievements in building new rural areas and improving people’s livelihood.
The hamlet has also achieved encouraging results in implementing cultural and sporting activities, environmental protection and the maintenance political security.
Speaking at the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Thi Thuy asked the local authorities to continue encouraging public participation in and their contribution to realising the resolutions of the province’s Party congress for the 2020-2025 period.
Greater attention must also be paid to caring for disadvantaged people, strengthening the great unity bloc, and fostering the implementation of patriotic emulation movements as well as the campaign ‘Study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, lifestyle and morality’, she stressed.
