During their working session in Thua Thien Hue Province on Tuesday, delegates from the Lao province of Sekong Savannakhet met with Thua Thien Hue’s Vietnam Fatherland Front and signed a co-operation programme to promote cross-border friendship and co-operation during the 2016 - 2020 period. The memorandum included strengthening the advocacy of the traditional solidarity and co-operation between the two countries and the two provinces in particular; promoting links between villages and districts along the border; and preventing drug trafficking and illegal exploitation of natural resources.
