Lao prime minister begins Vietnam visit

On behalf of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and other officials welcomed the Lao delegation. At the reception, Secretary of the Danang Party Committee Tran Tho informed the Lao leader about the local socio-economic situation, poverty elimination efforts and the city’s co-operation with Lao localities. PM Thongsing Thammavong valued the considerable socio-economic progress attained by Danang in recent decades, especially the rapid economic growth during the 30-year reform period.  

After leaving Danang, the Lao Prime Minister will pay working visits to Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Đien Bien and Son La provinces before arriving in Hanoi to meet with party and government leaders on July 17 and 18.
