More than 162,000 moviegoers flocked to cinemas nationwide to see the Hollywood monster movie, the first of its kind shot in Vietnam. It has become the film with the biggest opening of all time in the country. "Kong: Skull Island" tells the story of a group of explorers who go in search of the birthplace of the infamous King Kong. The film was shot at multiple locations throughout Vietnam, such as Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh, Van Long Natural Reserve, Trang An Complex in Ninh Binh, and the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh.
