July consumer price index increases

This increase has been seen in almost all commodity groups, with the transport group seeing the highest, due to a rise in petrol prices. The housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group also increased due to prolonged hot weather, causing more demand for electricity consumption.

Meanwhile, food and catering services decreased slightly from the previous month due to a decline in the food price index.
