This was concluded during a press conference organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Hanoi.
According to JICA, the situation of late payments has become more serious as Vietnam is implementing policies to strengthen public debt control. Some of the highlights of JICA's projects in Vietnam in 2017 included the Tân Vũ - Lạch Huyện bridge - the longest bridge in Vietnam and the expansion of the Thác Mơ hydropower plant. In the near future, JICA will be able to lend to private enterprises, especially those with solid financial backgrounds operating in areas such as infrastructure and climate change.
