The office conducts tourism market research, helps Vietnamese travel agencies develop tours in Japan as well as provide information to agencies and holiday-makers.
Vietnam recorded an average 9% per annum growth in the number of Japanese tourist arrivals over the past 6 years. Last year, it welcomed approximately 740,000 visitors from Japan, up 10 percent from 2015.
Some 233,000 Vietnamese travelled to Japan last year, a year-on-year increase of 26 percent, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
