Japanese enterprises to expand investment in Vietnam

VTV.vn - More than 50% of Japanese enterprises plan to expand their businesses in Vietnam and India, according to an online survey conducted in December 2020 by Pasona Group, one of the two largest Japanese human resource enterprises.

Specifically, up to 57% of Japanese enterprises operating in Vietnam plan to expand their businesses, which is the highest rate out of the 11 countries and territories surveyed.

In addition, roughly 30% of Japanese businesses in Thailand, 28% in Malaysia, and 22% in Hong Kong (China) plan to make staff cuts, while 15% of Japanese businesses in Singapore and Indonesia plan to scale down.

Also according to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japanese enterprises will not only invest in big cities like Hanoi and HCMC but also in other neighboring localities.
