Following mango and dragon fruits, many other Vietnamese agro-products have entered Japan. In return, Japan has also actively promoted their agricultural products to Vietnam.
By the end of 2015, Japan’s Miyagi Prefecture had introduced a food retail stores chain in Vietnam, introducing local specialties to the consumers, including green tea powder, dried mushrooms and vermicelli. More Japanese businesses are being encouraged to operate in Vietnam in the coming period, according to Japan External Trade Organisation.
