According to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Japan currently has about 4000 projects in Vietnam, with total investment of nearly 60 billion USD. Total trade turnover between the two countries reached 33 billion USD. In 2017, 800 thousand Japanese tourists visited Vietnam.
