At the meeting, Sonoura Kentaro handed over a congratulatory letter from Japanese Prime Minister to Party and State Leader Trong, in which, he stated that he believes that under the leadership of General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam will continue to prosper and leverage its strategic partnership with Japan.
Party and State leader Nguyen Phu Trong sincerely thanked the Japanese King and the Prime Minister for their congratulatory letters. He affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam has always attached great importance to its relations with Japan, and has highly appreciated the effective cooperation and assistance that Japan has given to Vietnam. The two sides agreed to jointly organize activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries this year.
Sonoura Kentaro stressed Japan's appreciation for the important achievements made by Vietnam over the years. He affirmed that Japan appreciates its friendly relations with Vietnam and will work together to continue to deepen their mutual strategic partnership./.
