The closing ceremony was attended by Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee; Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh; and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien; as well as leaders from ministries, departments, central agencies and leaders of Da Nang city, international guests including ambassadors of Austria, Spain, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Israel, Morocco, Indonesia, Italy, the French Consul General, along with representatives of press agencies and 17,000 spectators from all over the country and international visitors.
The final night of DIFF 2018 showed audiences the spirit and enthusiasm of the programmers, artists and two teams from the US and Italy.
The championship cup and the US$ 10,000 prize went once again to the Italian team.
According to Tran Chi Cuong, deputy director of Da Nang Tourism Department, in the two months of the fireworks festival, the number of tourists to Da Nang reached approximately 1.6 million, up 25.54% compared to the DIFF 2017.
