The event was co-organised by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) under the Vietnam National University - Hanoi, and China’s Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu, Head of the USSH’s Faculty of Political Science, said that the event aimed to create a forum for researchers to exchange opinions on the values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the contemporary world.
It also honoured and the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - a hero of national liberation and a world cultural celebrity - to peace, solidarity, friendship and development of humanity.
The conference featured more than 90 presentations from scientists, experts and researchers from both at home and abroad, analysing President Ho Chi Minh's ideology on peace, friendship and global development, as well as his diplomatic ideology of peace and friendship among nations.
