International co-operation in realizing green growth strategy

Over the past 5 years, governmental agencies have co-operated with international organizations to carry out the plan.

One of the successes of the green growth strategy has resulted in the reduction of incandescent bulbs consumption from 55 million to fewer than 5 million from 2011 to 2015.

Vietnam will continue to step up efforts to achieve the green growth target, with support from international agencies. Just a few weeks ago, GGGI signed an MOU with the Ministry of Industry and Trade for a 2 year project that will aim to produce electricity from the waste of sugar cane processing.
