VTV.vn - Lazio reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals with a 4-3 shootout win over Inter Milan who had forced a 1-1 draw with a penalty from the last kick of extra-time on Thursday.

* Athletic Bilbao set a new record for attendance at a women’s soccer game in Spain as 48,121 people watched their side’s Copa de la Reina quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

* Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has signed a new deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2024, the Premier League club announced on Thursday. France international Martial has made 162 appearances in all competitions for United and scored 46 goals since joining them from French Ligue 1 side Monaco in 2015.

* Midfielder Miguel Almiron has joined Newcastle from MLS outfit Atlanta, the Premier League side announced on Thursday (Jan 31), reportedly for a club-record fee. The 24-year-old has penned a five-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £20 million (US$26 million), that will keep him at St James's Park until June 2024.

* Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha was charged with improper conduct by the Football Association (FA) on Thursday for his behaviour after being sent off in Wednesday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Southampton.

* Spanish football's wealthy La Liga is to become a sponsor of tennis's revamped Davis Cup competition for the next four years, sports bodies said on Thursday. La Liga will promote the Davis Cup via international broadcasts in 200 countries during league matches throughout October.

* Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans joined Leicester on loan from Monaco until the end of the season on Thursday (Jan 31). Tielemans has linked up with the Premier League club after scoring five goals in 20 league appearances for French side Monaco this season.

* Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa has joined Turkey's Besiktas on loan until the end of the season, the Bundesliga leaders said on Thursday (Jan 31). He has struggled to secure playing time under coach Lucien Favre this season, making just four appearances in all competitions. His contract with Dortmund runs until to 2020.
