Many of them are new generation FTAs with higher criteria, reflecting Vietnam’s increasingly strong and comprehensive integration process. Along with many positive macro-economic signs, the country will need to make the most of the development opportunities presented.
International integration is no longer just a trend. It has become a must. Vietnam’s commitment to these new FTAs will mean significantly higher competitive pressures. Enhancing the competitiveness of domestic enterprises is the only way for Vietnam to avoid possible pitfalls associated with free trade and continue its road to global integration.
