At the event, speakers from the World Economic Forum and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) pointed out that Vietnam's readiness for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is at an average level.
Thus Vietnam's development should focus on human development with education and promoting technology being the top priorities. After this summit, the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission will submit the development plan for Industrial Revolution 4.0 to the Party in October.
In ASEAN, only Singapore and Thailand have already implemented these strategies. Meanwhile, PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc also stressed that the summit needs to figure out what actions Vietnam should take in order to adapt to the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
