According to exporters, the increasing demand in Japan, Dubai, South Korea, and Middle East markets are opening more opportunities for Vietnamese bananas. According to banana exporters, during the first months of the year, banana production only met domestic demand, and there is not enough fruit for export. To export bananas to these markets, growing, quality and origin need to be more strictly-controlled.
