Writing in the book of remembrance, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed his deep gratitude and thanks to Uncle Ton, an exemplary communist, an outstanding leader of the country and an eminent son of An Giang Province.
She then joined other delegates to plant a tree at the memorial site.
On the same day, the Vice President paid a visit and presented gifts to 20 families of policy beneficiaries in My Hoa Hung Commune.
She also saluted and presented a gift to 91-year-old Vietnamese heroic mother Ta Thi Bai in Vinh Nguon Ward, Chau Doc City.
Wishing her health and longevity, Vice President Xuan expressed his hope that mother Bai will continue encouraging her descendants to promote the national revolutionary tradition and make further contributions to the hometown and the country in general.
