VTV.vn - The Prime Minister has sent a dispatch to ministries and localities ordering them to ensure social order and traffic safety during the upcoming four-day holiday to celebrate the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day.

He ordered functional ministries, sectors, and localities to publicise their hotlines to receive traffic complaints from the public while remaining ready 24/7 to timely address any arising traffic issues.

Any related to speeding, illegal ticket price increases, illegal motorbike racing, and acts that are the direct reasons to accidents and traffic jams, must be strictly punished, he stated.

He also called for communication events to spread the messages of "No driving after drinking", “No use of mobile phone while driving”, and “Wearing helmets while driving” as well as the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration) to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministries should closely manage coaches, terminals, stations and airports to reduce traffic jams and illegal price hikes while strictly observing regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control, he added.
