Illegal Vietnamese workers in Korea pose risks

VTV.vn - Many Vietnamese workers now face the risk of being unable to work in South Korea, due to illegal Vietnamese workers who stay in the country even after their permits have expired.

The number of illegal workers has exceeded the number agreed on by Vietnam and Korea by 4 percent. Previously, the agreement to receive workers from Vietnam was suspended for 4 years. The new agreement, which will last for 2 years since the signing in May 2016 is approaching its end, but Vietnam still hasn't found an effective way to reduce the number of illegal workers in Korea.

Many homes in Vietnam were built thanks to the money workers earned in Korea. In addition, many people's lives have become better because of their overseas work. However, if Korea stops receiving workers from Vietnam, all these good things may come to an end.
