The route from Sapa to Lai Châu Province has been jammed near Silver Waterfall since 2 a.m., January 24th, trapping long lines of vehicles on the mountain pass.
At present, the snow has stopped and is melting slowly. Current light rains will make it melt faster. The road is expected to clear today. However, there is thick fog on many roads in Sa Pa District. People should drive slowly, especially when they travel on slope passes or dangerous bends.
