This is the opening of a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
The opening ceremony was attended by members of the Party Central Committee: Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh; Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia; along with leaders of Hung Yen Province, the Vietnam Journalists Association and a large number of members of the Hung Yen Provincial Journalists' Association.
The Organising Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Press Museum to display documents, artefacts, and images about the 100 years of formation and development of the Vietnamese press, particularly the Hung Yen press.
The Spring Press Festival honours the development of the Hung Yen press and the professional activities of the Provincial Journalists' Association members.
This is a forum for exchange and learning of experiences between press agencies, and an opportunity to meet and exchange between journalists.
The Spring Press Festival encourages press agency staff, reporters, and collaborators to improve their professional capacity, create quality journalistic works, and meet people's increasing information needs.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen Province Nguyen Duy Hung praised the achievements of press management agencies, press and media agencies in the past year. At the same time, he requested press agencies in the province to continue promoting the achieved results, striving to fulfil the goals and tasks of 2025, focusing on communicating the organisation arrangement, streamlining the apparatus for effective and efficient operation; celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030.
The province will continue to promote digital transformation in the field of journalism; developing technology and technical infrastructure according to the model of a converged, multimedia newsroom; paying attention to training a team of cadres and reporters who are steadfast in political will, proficient in professional skills, pure in ethics, attached to real life, and always have a high sense of social responsibility.
The 2025 Hung Yen Province Spring Press Festival will last until March 2.
