Of the 57 BOT projects, the biggest source of revenues in 2018 came from the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway construction project with total revenue of 90 million USD, equivalent to more than 21.4 million vehicles. This is also one of the most cost-effective projects in the country with 3 collecting stations.
Recently, there have been some worries about fraudulent software applied for toll collection. The Vietnam Directorate of Road said that in the coming time, it is tightening monitoring by transmitting data directly from toll booths to the central monitoring system.
