Even though the fire is about 15 kilometers away as of this morning, the air quality control bureaus have warned residents to stay away from their homes to avoid the effects of smoke and dust.
The blaze, which started in Cleveland National Forest on Monday, is one of seventeen major fires burning in California. They include the Mendocino Complex in the north - the largest wildfire in California's history.
More than 14,000 firefighters have been mobilized to battle the wildfires, and US President Donald Trump said he was monitoring the situation very closely and would constantly work with the state and local authorities to mitigate the fires.
