VTV.vn - Ho Chi Minh City's first river buses carry more than 1,000 passengers a day in the first month since they began operating.

While they've made a modest contribution to reducing traffic congestion, some people are still finding it hard to get a ticket.

This situation is expected to worsen during the coming holidays, as the number of passengers is still on the rise. There are only 75-seat river buses operating, and one reserve bus.

The city plans to increase the number of operating buses to 5, to meet demand.
