In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh praised the state management of religion in ensuring political security and served Vietnam's economic development.
He also called for greater efforts to carry out the party guidelines and state policies and publicise and enforce the Law on Religions and Belief.
The participants were also briefed on the state's activities, which they said should continue to create optimal conditions for socio-economic development in areas inhabited by religious followers, train religious dignitaries, advocate religion-related external policy, and disseminate information on the religious and human rights situation in Vietnam.
