Ho Chi Minh City receives first bear in 2018

Misa is a 15-year-old Asian black bear. After some time, the family that raised Misa realized that she should be returned to the wild, so they started contacting nature conservation organisations to hand her over. On Monday, the veterinarians injected Misa with a sedative. After nearly 2 hours, she was transported to a Bear Sanctuary in Ninh Binh Province, more than 1,600 kilometres from Ho Chi Minh City. There, Misa will be quarantined and put into a semi-wild environment.
