High capacity fishing fleet

Boats with capacity of over 90HP will replace those with less than 20HP engines. In addition to government support, many fishermen have also raised funds on their own to building new high-capacity fishing vessels. This has transformed the province's fishing fleet as it now has nearly 350 fishing vessels of 400 HP capacity or above. The transformation is expected to modernise fishing fleets, improve local livelihoods and ensure wider fishing in Vietnam's sovereign waters.
